About Josephine
I'm a textile artist and quilter based in the UK. I also teach and design, but this space is about the work I make for my own journey — pieces that explore colour, memory, and place through fabric and stitch.
My work is inspired by things like stained glass windows, a particular view, a moment someone wants to hold onto. I use bright, saturated colour — turquoise, orange, and green are favourites — and combine traditional quilting techniques with a modern, graphic sensibility.
I want my quilts to feel contemporary: bold, clean, and full of life. Not traditional quilt-guild work, but something closer to the energy of modern ceramics or abstract painting.
Teaching
I run workshops in colour, composition, and contemporary quilting for groups and individuals.
Commissions
I work with people to create one-off pieces around a theme, place, or memory they want to capture.
